Emily - Chief Cryptid Wrangler & Weird Artist

Emily is Me!! The perpetrator behind Cryptid Curiosities. With a lifelong fascination for the peculiar, I transformed my love of picking up dead stuff into a business.

If you wanna know more about me

Chris - Co-Chief Cryptid (and Emily) Wrangler

When it comes to making sure this quirky enterprise actually runs, that’s where Chris comes in. Part emotional support, part large vehicle driver, and full-time coffee drinker, Chris manages everything from event setups to making sure the trailer doesn’t wander off into a lake. Chris is the grounded yin to my chaotic yang. He is also a master at hitting his head on the camper door.

A Work in Progress

It took me about all summer and 27 cans of spray paint to get this old ice fishing camper turned into the beginnings of my lil rolling shop.

I think it takes time to really build something special, it all comes together in a bunch of little pieces. I'm a very impatient person, so it's a bit of a struggle to reconcile with the part of me that wants everything done right now. We are getting there, and that's okay.

Conceptual renders by the talented Lexi Hohe

I'm also working on putting together a little taxidermy kit! It'll have a bunch of tools I use, a booklet, and this cute lil pouch I designed!

Local Legend

Now everyone knows I cut up dead animals for a living!

I didn't expect the article to be on the front page let alone so in-depth.  Allyson Ballard

did an amazing job and it was really cool to be able to talk about my love of taxidermy so openly. Working under Matt Klope's Tutelage has been a dream come true I hope to continue for many years!

I also recently got to install one of my coyote mounts in the Coupeville Historical Museum's Natural history exhibit
